Kids

EFN kids3

It is our desire that each child feels like they belong at Enid First Nazarene and that we foster an environment for growing in a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ.

Your children are such a special blessing from the Lord. Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in training your children in the way they should go. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the children's pastor, Ashley Hellman.

Nursery

We count it a great privilege to minister to your babies. The age of children in our nursery is six weeks to two years. Our nursery is a place where you and your children will be surrounded with love. We make it a priority to create and maintain a safe, clean environment as well as a loving atmosphere. We enjoy singing, playing, rocking, and sharing the love of Jesus.

The nursery utilizes a pager system. Please make sure when checking in your child to the nursery that you pick up a pager. The volunteers can page you at any time needed during the service with the pager system.

If you feel the tug of God on your heart to volunteer in the nursery, please contact us! We love having parents around! Thanks again for sharing your children with us!

Nursery Hours:

  • Nursery is provided 10 minutes before and after all regular Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services.

What to Bring:

  • Diapers
  • Bottles or Sippy Cups
  • Pacifiers if needed
  • A change of clothes is always helpful

Please label everything you bring with your child's name. We do our best to make sure each child goes home with what he or she brought, and clearly labeled names definitely help!

Toddlers

Toddlers are at an exciting time of physical and mental development! The toddler class consists of 3 and 4 year olds. We ask that your child be fully potty trained for a month before transitioning from the nursery to the toddler class.

On Sunday mornings, the toddlers start out with the elementary-aged children and sing praise songs together. After this time of singing, they attend their own classroom located at the entrance of the children's department. There, we begin to share with them the stories of the Bible and teach them that God wants to have a relationship with them. On Wednesday evenings, the toddler class is joined together with the elementary-aged students.

Elementary

EFN kids2The elementary ministry consists of children from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grades. We strive to create a fun learning environment through captivating lessons and through a caring and loving children's pastor and volunteers.

Elementary age Sunday school classes begin at 9:30 each Sunday morning. They are age-appropriate and geared to allow a place for children to ask questions and interact with other children who desire to learn more about God.

Children's church happens during the Sunday morning worship service beginning at 10:30. Here, children are led in a time of praise and worship and participate in Bible lessons. They are encouraged to share prayer requests and pray for one another.

Wednesday night kids' activities begin at 6pm each week. Here, kids can play games, reach out to others, and be challenged in their faith as they learn more about God and His Word.

Family Worship is on the last Sunday of each month. Families are encouraged to worship in the sanctuary together with their children.

SafeKids

For the safety of our children, all volunteers working with kids have been through a background screening process.

To help create a safe environment, we utilize a childcare check-in system through Church Membership Online. On Sunday mornings, there are two check-in stations: one located by the nursery and one at the entrance to the children's department. After checking-in, you will receive a sticker receipt that you will need to present when picking up your child. The first time you check your child in, you will need to create a profile for future check-ins. The volunteers will help you through this process.

While the check-in process may take some additional time or seem inconvenient, we believe it is a necessary and important step in keeping our children safe. Please help us make this process go more smoothly by arriving a few minutes early to children's events.

Illness

Children with runny noses (colored substances), fever, persistent cough, or signs of a contagious illness cannot be accepted in the nursery or at children's ministry activities. A child must be free of fever and diarrhea for 24 hours before he or she can attend the nursery or children's events. Volunteers are not allowed at any time to administer medication.
